Always sterilize everything that you use, tools, bowls, and the grapes themselves. Our immune system does a great job of protecting us, but if you were to directly consume a mouth full of bacteria... Well, our immune system can only do so much after all.

Always keep notes on what you are doing. It is probably the best way to track and monitor everything. You’ll also be able to improve your wine making abilities considerably if you know what has gone wrong or right. So keep notes and be meticulous with it.
